i was at the local music store the other day, messing around,u know.and there was this bulletin board by the doorway on the way out,and there was this one plain black and white flyer that said drummer wanted.that immeidaintly mad me curious, but i didnt really get more than a glance at it,because we were in a hurry to leave.what i did catch was that it was only for the summer, and i was thinking...
so ive been prating about it,and i think God is saying to go ahead and call in,but...well im all nervous(for some weird reason.i mean, its really no biggie.)and i still wanna go back and see that flyer again and check out the details.like, are they christen?is it a bunch of guys old enough to b my dad,or what?
i made the third jay comic, but im not going to post it,(yet)because i want my rents to check out paint.net, and say whether or not i can download it.theres some panels in the comic that would look twice as good in color.

you love playing drums right?
so go for it!
honestly, dont just let chances like that slip away.
hehe.
I always pray about things, but I always go with my gut hoping/knowing that the Lord informs me. There is no moral imperative in the Bible to seek God's "personal will" for our lives, if one really exists. We pray, use the Scriptures as a guide to inform all of our decisions, but where there is no command, there is freedom. And I celebrate that with gratefulness to the One Who gave it.
In light of that, I say go for it, if you want to. It could be a great experience. Even if it turns out to be a sour note (teehee), there is something you could learn from it.
I can tell you from experience not to let nervousness keep you from doing things. I've been held back one too many times by it. Go into it with the attitude of "Well, if I didn't even call or try, I would have zero chance at this, so I really have nothing to lose." Knowing that always gives me a boost of confidence.
I wish you luck on this, Jay. Have confidence in the great talent that God has blessed you with.
snowfire-thanxs for the encouragement.it means alot.i want to call, and im going to,i jsut need to suck it up and do it.
king jamez-
no offence, but i think God does have a plan for everyone of us.it says so in jeremiah 29:11.
"For i know the plans I have for you 'declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you,Plans to give you hope and a future. 'ur right though,we do have freedom wether or not to obey God's plans.God doesnt MAKE you do anything,He's a perfect gentelmen. He allows u to choose.and when we messup and go our own way we often blame God even though,He DID tell us not to do that.
anyways,im not looking for an argument, just thought i say.
so anyways,
yes,thanx u for the encouragment.
:]
its silly how stupid things like fear can hold us back.
Jay, it's fine if you disagree. My point isn't whether or not God does have a plan for us, but that the Bible never commands us, in any place, to try to figure out exactly what it is. We are certainly commanded to pray and ask for wisdom, and to discover the moral will of God about certian things, but we're never commanded to figure out exactly what God wants on each detail of our life. I have known people who believed they need to be "spirit-led" on what color of socks they picked out every morning because if they picked the white over the tan on the wrong day, they'd be out of the dot in the center of the "perfect will" of God. There's no foundation in Scripture to teach us to worry over those things. They are traditions of the modern Evangelical church which have been taught to us by men. You have freedom to choose here. I think what the Lord is concerned with is that we love on people in the name of Jesus wherever we end up. So, pray about it, choose wisely, and I'm sure God will bless it.
....silly or not...go for it jay !always in a gooood good way ....as you know......

OHHH!ok,yeah ur right.
i asked God about it and He said it was fine w/Him if i call.so yeah...
elipse-:]thanxs for the encouragment.its good to have fiends who got ur back.
yes,in a good way...haha!
Well, I'd say go for it too, but also, be cautious. Nothing wrong with that. And the P.S...well girl, you knew better, didn't you! Mom's always talk you into things like that. It is our job. You were doing it, and she wasn't, she must be a really cool mom!
Kingjaymz sent me over. he said you were an artist. He did not say you are a Christian artist. Don't you think there should be more graphic novels for Christian Teens? Not in a take off of what is already out there, but something cool and unique. One of my boys favorite books is the Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe graphic novel.
I'm getting jitters from withdrawls! Help me Jay! Post the next chapter! I'll be going into convulsions soo...aoerjaw;idvasioerjg
